NIKE HUARACHE 2K4 REVIEW

I've been huge fan of Huarache basketball shoes ever since I was old enough to pick out my own hoop kicks. My personal favorite has been the Huarache 2K4, which was supposed to be Kobe Bryant's first signature shoe with Nike, but I'll save that story for another day. I was fortunate enough to have an OG pair back when they first dropped in 2004 when I was in middle school(pictured right). Then actually wore a pair for some of my freshman basketball season in high school. Unfortunately both pair are beat now nearly 10 years later. With that being said I was able to get my hands on another pair recently, not OG(pictured blow). And wanted to do a review of the shoe.

I originally liked the shoe because of the overall comfort and support, which is second to none. I remember the shoe being a little lighter than it feels now but that may be due to me being a loyal wearer of Kobe signature kicks, which are some of the lightest basketball shoes ever made, especially the 8s. I love low top hoop kicks but often have to wear ankle braces with them because of them somewhat lacking overall support. With these, I don't have to because of the ankle support strap, which is a huge plus.

There are not many other shoes that offer the overall support, comfort and style of these kicks. They are light enough for guards to ball in and have enough support for big men as well. They're breathable and have a sleek, stylish look to them. The Huarache 2K4 is still one of, if not, the best overall basketball shoe that has ever been made. Even nearly 10 years later.
