DEBATE: 1995-96 BULLS vs. the 2012-13 HEAT, WHO WOULD WIN?

After their 18th consecutive win over the Pacers, the Miami Heat currently has the longest win streak in the league.  The last team to do that won 72 games & had the greatest player to ever step on the hardwood on their team. We've seen & heard many comparisons of LeBron James & Michael Jordan this year.

LeBron is having arguably his best year, coming off of his first championship. There's no more expectation or pressure, he can finally play with a clear head & have fun. He's averaging 26 points, 7 rebounds & 8 assists. As a result, his team is undoubtedly the favorite to repeat this year and currently have a record of 47 wins & 14 losses.

Michael, on the other hand, was making up for the previous year that his Bulls got knocked out in the second round by the Orlando Magic. Safe to say, he made up for lost time.  He led his Chicago Bulls to the best regular season record in NBA history, with 72 wins & 10 losses. Beat the Supersonics in the NBA Finals & won Finals MVP.

With all that said, who would win if these two teams played each other. We'll debate.

Tenz: The only true advantage Miami would have in this game is their athleticism & speed. The Bulls never faced a team like this before, and they'd have to make it a mission of theirs to keep this team from getting fastbreak points. But where Miami lacks is where Chicago has strength, size & rebounding. If Chicago's defense can make Miami work and play a half-court game, then Chicago can win. Either way it goes, I can honestly see LeBron getting a triple-double against this team. I'd predict the score to be Chicago winning 93-88. Wade would get shut down by MJ & be a complete non-factor so it'd be all on LeBron & Miami's bench to get the win.

Randall: To me, this is not even close. The 95 Bulls would win this matchup. The biggest advantage I see in this matchup is rebounding. Even if LeBron, Wade and Bosh played to their full potential the Heat, as a team, seriously lack rebounding. The Bulls would dominate the boards, lead by Rodman, which would give Jordan and Pippen more chances to score. I also think the Bulls defense would dominate Miami. Pippen and Jordan were two of the top wing defenders in the league, they'd make it hard for Wade and James to drive the lane. And without those two driving and kicking the Heat offense would be stagnant. And Rodman would body Bosh in ever aspect of the game. His hustle alone would give him the advantage in that matchup. Only advantage I see the Heat having is speed and bench play. With players like Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis, who were once prominent scorers in the league, it'd be a tough matchup for the Bulls reserves. But even with that being said, coaching adjustments could be made and Phil Jackson is one of the greatest coaches of all time so he'd make them. 95 Bulls, best team of all time. No contest.

Maz: Bulls , 95 Bulls greatest team in NBA history. 72 wins? We'll never see that again and I truly believe that. Jordan, Pippen, Rodman or James, Wade, Bosh. Speaks for itself. Not to take away what Miami's big 3 has done they just won a championship last season and having a great season now sitting at 47-14 and if these two teams would play I wouldnt say blowout but im giving it to Chicago. Michael averaged 30 a season and we could point out individual stats but the teams record speaks for itself along with the championship they won. Dont get me wrong LeBrons having an amazing year and the Heat are on a win streak right now but i think if we were to match up the stars alone it speaks not to mention Coach Spo vs Jackson. Lets see if the Heat repeat this year and as of right now they are looking pretty good and will be in the finals in my opinion
