Many people love the game of basketball but for those who never experienced it in New York City have no idea what they're missing out on. NYC is the mecca as most ball players will tell you but the game is just different. You got courts every other block and you got the famous spots in the city like Dyckman, Rucker , and West 4th. We posted not too long ago a movie made by New York City's own Bobbito Garcia about pick up basketball in NYC called " Doin it in the park " which you can purchase at Doinitinthepark.com wanna see what the game is like purchase it , Great film watched it about 3 times and im from New York lol. You basketball fans might remember when the lockout happen 2 years ago and that summer you had nba players going all over playing in streetball leagues like Kevin Durant at rucker scoring 66 and him playing back home at the Goodman league. James Harden and Kobe hit the drew league it was an epic summer but about 10 years ago New York blacked out completely. I remember i was running around my hood with my boys playing manhunt and stuff but that summer was one of most epic summers for streetball and heres a full length movie of that summer at the ebc.
