Impressive
Kyrie Irving, without a doubt, looked like the best player on the court in tonight's scrimmage. The Cleveland Cav superstar point guard scored 23 points and dropped 8 dimes as he dazzled the crowd play after play. He came out strong in the first half scoring 16 and in the second half he showcased is amazing court vision.
Another player that impressed me was Harrison Barnes of the Golden State Warriors. Harrison attacked the basket with no remorse tonight and arguable had the play of the game when he drove the lane and put down a left handed slam on Ryan Anderson. He also displayed that smooth pull up jumper of his.
Disappointed
I was most disappointed by the players who didn't play, which wasn't their fault. Brad Beal is recovering from a stress factor so he didn't play. I was looking forward to seeing the progression, if any, from this past season. Also, Larry Saunders was injured so he sat out. I was intrigued by Saunders this past season and wanted to see him up against the likes of Faried and De'Andre Jordan.
And I wouldn't say this player really disappointed me, cause he had a pretty decent game, but Anthony Davis looked more like a jump shooting 2 or 3 than a big man. I feel like he settled for way too many jumpers in tonight's game. Seemed like the only time he was in the paint was on fast breaks.
