IS KEVIN MARTIN A BETTER FIT FOR THE THUNDER THAN JAMES HARDEN WAS?

Maz: Is Kevin Martin a better fit? I'm gonna say yes. James Harden was Sixth Man of the Year and came off the bench scoring 16.8 in a wonderful season for the Thunder. After that, he knew he deserved a starting role. Martin is currently scoring 14.5 in his sixth man role on the team and actually doing pretty well, similar to what Harden did in the 11-12 season. Harden was traded for Martin before the 2013 season started and James was given $80 million in his deal, showing its all about money. Money, a starting role, and being the franchise player is what most players want. Personally, I don't think Harden was happy in OKC. Harden was Oklahoma City's best playmaker but between Durant, Westbrook and Ibaka, that's over $200 million in salaries. They just couldn't afford to pay Harden and you can't let him be a starter. Martin was a perfect fit money wise and role wise he knows what he's there to do and hes fine with it.

Tenz: I'm surprised by Maz's answer, mostly because I agree with him. James Harden deserves to start, he's the best scoring threat the Rockets have had since T-Mac. Kevin Martin is best suited in his role, he's not a number 1 guy for any team. Not to discredit his playing ability because he can ball & is putting up good numbers. But one-on-one, James Harden is a way better player. I think eventually tension would rise in the locker room if James Harden never got a starting role. OKC didn't lose in this trade, they'll most likely be back in the Finals this year.
